Q: What is Instacart?
A: Instacart is a grocery delivery service that delivers in as little as an hour. Instacart’s Personal Shoppers will shop for you and deliver groceries from Weiland’s.
Q: What can I order on Instacart from Weiland’s?
A: We have lots of our items on Instacart, including our biggest-selling deli salads and prepared foods, as well as most of our deli meats & cheeses, produce, meat & poultry, seafood, fine cheeses, frozen food and groceries. We’ll continue to add items over time; if there’s anything you’d like us to add, please email us.
Q: What should I do if I want to order something from Weiland’s, but I don’t see it in the Instacart catalog?
A: You can make a special request on your order. There are several reasons why some items will not be listed in the Instacart catalog; for example, they’re locally produced (like Just Pies and Stevens Pies) and don’t have a barcode or they’re not always available (like pies, as well as our smoked meats and soups) or they’re seasonal and/or very limited in quantity (like Ohio strawberries and morels).
Q: Are beer, wine & spirits available on Instacart?
A: No. Alcohol must still be purchased in the store because of state laws.
Q: Are Catering orders available through Instacart?
A: No. Our Catering menu will not be listed be on Instacart. You’ll still order Catering for pickup or delivery by calling the store at 614-267-9878.
Q: Will you have holiday items, like turkeys and your Thanksgiving prepared meals, available on Instacart?
A: No, because most of our holiday items, like turkey and pies, are pre-ordered.
Q: How fast will Instacart deliver?
A: When you order and pay for items on instacart.com/Weilands using the Web or a mobile app, you can choose to have your purchases delivered within 1 hour, within 2 hours, or with a scheduled delivery window of 1-2 hours depending on location.
Q: How much does Instacart cost?
A: Instacart is running a promotion in the Columbus area to launch the service. New Instacart Express customers can sign up for free delivery for a year. Once the promotion ends (end date to be determined), the monthly and yearly fee will be established.
Q: How do I let my Personal Shopper know of my preferences on items?
A: There will be a Special Request section so you can let your Personal Shopper know of your preferences (e.g., ripeness of bananas, thickness of deli meat & cheese, how you want your meat packaged, etc.).
Q: Where does Instacart deliver?
A: Generally, Instacart will deliver within a regular 20-30 minute driving radius of Weiland’s. The specific ZIP codes in the delivery area are 43201, 43202, 43203, 43205, 43206, 43209, 43210, 43211, 43212, 43214, 43215, 43216, 43219, 43220, 43221, 43224, 43085 and 43229.
Q: Will the Weiland’s weekly ad flyer items be featured on Instacart at sale prices?
A: No. All items on Instacart will be at regular prices. This is because not all ad flyer items will be on Instacart, based on factors like limited or seasonal availability. However, there are national manufacturers’ coupons on Instacart, which you can take advantage of.
Q: Can I buy a Weiland’s gift card on Instacart?
A: No. Instacart doesn’t offer any store gift cards on its site. You can buy our gift cards at any register. Or, to buy a gift card that we’ll send to you (or your designated recipient), please call the store at 614-267-9878 or send an email to email@example.com.
Q: What if there’s an issue with service or I want to return something?
A: For customer service issues, your first point of contact is Instacart. After each order is delivered, you’ll be asked to leave feedback about the interaction using a star rating (1 through 5), as well as any comments. Instacart’s Customer Happiness team reviews all feedback and will contact you for follow up, if necessary. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org to report ordering issues or call Instacart at 888-246-7822. Instacart will do what they can to make any issues right, often offering a credit, refund or redelivery, depending on the circumstances. If Instacart doesn’t resolve your issue, you can let one of our Weiland’s team members know and we’ll get involved directly to help.
